That's pretty cool that it survived but considering what they all went through you would think that there would have more damage to it? Just a thought? Ten's of thousands of dollars might be a bit far reaching in my personal opinion though?
It would be a much more interesting letter if it had said ....there don't seem to be enough lifeboats and the captain appears stupid and isn't that an iceberg up ahead......?
I believe you are right, Jeff, but I could only surmise that it never made it to the ship's post office since it was written mere hours before the accident. What a philatelic treasure that would be to have an actual RMS Titanic postmark!!
