I was consideriing ordering The 2008 Postal Service Guide to U.S. Stamps, from the USPS. I am primarily interested in the U.S. Airmail stamps, and the defins and commems of the 1970's to the 1990's.

My question is, how different is the older information of those years in say, a 2001 Postal Service Guide to U.S. Stamps? Can I get away with an older one, or should I get the newest edition?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

David

The information for older issues should be the same except for values. I would suggest finding an older one. In fact I bet someone here has a dusty copy laying around.

David, with Dude! Other than values, which may not have changed much anyway, I don't think you have anything to gain with a newer version. As to values, I'd be willing to share 2009 values with you. Just send me an email with a snail mail address.

David..an older version should do just fine... I use a 1999 Scott
Classic, for my pre 1931 collection.. Only the values change, but
not much from year to year...

However... I believe the book is only $ 9.95 US at Barnes and Noble , and the illustrations are in colour [Ca.]
