I've found that the appearance of wrinkled covers can be improved (how much, depends on the cover) by putting them between a large, folded sheet of paper, then into a dry mount press for a couple of minutes.
Since a dry mount press is a specialized piece of equipment used to mount photographs to mounting board, before the more recent self-adhesive (the sticky stuff is everywhere) mounting boards took over that aspect, of photography, I don't suppose anyone, here, has one.
However, you might try this:
Place the cover within a folded sheet of ordinary bond paper, place this on a smooth, soft surface (such as s half inch or so of newspaper and with a not too-hot iron, apply pressure directly on the cover and hold it there for a minute or two.
My press is set at 220 degrees Fahrenheit and since it simply applies heat and pressure I don't know if using the standard back and forth ironing motion wold do better.
I'd start with an expendable cover and a low heat setting, possibly kicking it up a notch if necessary.
Thanks again to all that have offered advice! I think you are right and will go page by page and just look and see what I have. I have 2007 Scott Catalogs, shouldn't be too far off in price. I can't wait to dig in! If I find something worthwhile I will post pics!
