Please help me understand. I could not find this stamp in the catalog as she is black. Should I look more closely?

Looks like a SC # 26 or 38..It looks like your stamp is damaged..

This 5c Small Queen had two main printings. The first was more green, the later printing was more greyish (yours seems a fairly dark grey). This is a normal colour.
