Koloniale Loterie/ Belgium Se-Tenant--- What Is This?

Is this a Belgian stamp? Belgian colony stamp? What is its purpose?

The right half is definitely a postage stamp. The left half may be a label from a booklet pane. I don't know its purpose.

The stamp is Belgium Scott 273. Scott lists a booklet pane of 4 + 2 labels as #273c.

I like it.

What's the COB Catalogue? I did a Google search and got a lot of hits for College of Business and College of the Bahamas.

The COB is the official Belgian stamp catalog. Try googling COB stamp catalog!

I collect Belgium - including some pretty esoteric stamps, so I have the COB catalogue for the unusual issues. It's really hard to read if one doesn't speak French or Flemish, but it includes many things not found, elsewhere. Unfortunately it doesn't include essays and proofs, so I had to buy "Belgium Proofs," by Dr. Jacques Stes, another 900 page anthology, to cover that. At least the latter is in French and English, but it doesn't include the more common essays and proofs, of which there are hundreds, so I have many still not identified. Ken

So here's the official name of the COB -- Officiele Postzegelcatalogus/Catalogue Officiel de Timbres-Poste - Belgie/Belgique, OBP-COB. If you are serious about Belgium, it's worth the cost. Ken

They are Belgium regular issues with advertising labels there are about ten different labels .
