Did anyone use a checklist or just the catalog? I've been playing with AlbumGen software and am looking for a trial project to frame as well. |

Just noticed that Jackie has 4 Alice Paul stamps in his/her collection. Scott only lists 3 varieties. Is anyone aware of a 4th variety? |

The Great Americans were the last good definitive series.
2943 78¢ Alice Paul bright violet, solid tagging
2943a 78¢ Alice Paul dull violet, grainy solid tagging
2943b 78¢ Alice Paul pale violet, grainy solid tagging

While we are on the subject, I have a very outdated edition of "The Great Americans" detailed list by Stephen G Esrati. It's the 18th edition. 12/21/2000.
Does anyone know if there is a later edition and where I might purchase it? |

I believe that the USSS Jan-Dec 2006 series of articles can be accessed, if you are a member, from their "Digital Specialist" archives. http://www.usstamps.org/digital-spe...st-archives/Given Angore's data-point regarding last edition date (2002), I would think that the series (2006) would be the latest-greatest information available. |

Scott currently recognizes 3 shades of 2943. The main 2493 seems to be fairly consistent, but the 2943a and 2943b seem to have some variation.  . Two 2943b on top, two 2943a on bottom. |

The latest edition of Mr. Esrati's "The Great Americans" that I am aware of is the 25th Revision of April 10, 2006. |

Do you know where I could get that 25th edition? I have looked and even on usss I don't see it. Would someone be willing to sell me a copy? If I am not supposed to ask that here please forgive me. I know I don't have 50 posts yet, but I sure have a lot of enthusiasm for this series |
