Found these Christmas Seals on ebay (USA 40s,50s,60s,70s)recently ,whole sheets mostly except last two pictures which are the oldest.
I have singles from 1915 and 1917 hanging on my wall. Scott Spl.catalog lists many at 25c-35c, early 1900s are more expensive, modern sheets run maybe $1.25 a sheet, some sheets are 17-20dollars or more.
I bought a whole box on auction with shipping just under 50bucks, and it came with other then the xmas stamps-boys town etc, just in xmas stamp sheets I have now around 200.
list yours here would be neat to see and other countries too.
Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example. I collect for enjoyment, not investment. APS Member #223433 Postmark Collectors Club Member #6333 Meter Stamp Society Member #1409
Ya that is Great you have some old ones- very cool. This batch is loose singles from what I recently posted above and got in the mail from ebay different from above many older. I noticed one had a copyright mark on it that I am uploading here, and last one is from Canada. I can see a future with a whole set of these on my wall! (singles of course-framed)- I looked at the web site link will bookmark thanks.
Nice collection Larry! I've taken to collecting these too, as well as other cinderellas. I think they're terrific, and they certainly reflect their era, how the styles change. I really like your wall displays too (hope they're out of the sun!). My wife would have an aneurism if I did that.
