No Canadian Stamps With Charles III

In case my post of 21 May 2014 was misunderstood by anybody, I was just being a bit tongue-in-cheek about how ridiculous and false the Canada Post design selection committee can be with the three year lead time required for decisions.
The intelligent and welcomed, recent Ukraine relief issue (which no doubt strained the imagination of committee members) is another example of how untrue the so-called reasoning is.
Hopefully, that departure from stupidity will continue; and, we'll soon see a KC III stamp issue as quickly as other unforeseen events have been commemorated.

I would think that a new Canadian issue showing him as King Charles lll will probably not be issued until at least the minimum of the proclamation day or his coronation date. The image used will no doubt also have to have his approval. But definetly before 3 years!

Edward VII had to wait until he was 59 years old, in 1901, before he succeeded his mother, Queen Victoria, who had reigned for 63 years.
It was not until 1903 (2 years later) that the first stamps were issued bearing his likeness in Canada: #89-95

He got one more issue (#98) in the Quebec Tercentenary of 1908.

There were also 2 envelopes and 4 postal cards.

He reigned for just 9 years before being succeeded at age 68 by his son George V.
