I felt it was poorly listed and had the potential for some decent items and I love a gamble so said what the heck. Took the seller 11 days to actually ship it but it finally arrived today from a thrift shop in Arizona.

Only taken a flip through it look so far but I think I made a decent purchase. I'll start sorting through it tonight and post the progress.
Nothing great in the album that I noticed but the loose stuff and packets have some nice mint stamps and even saw a few used Express mail stamps.

Paid $28 ( ebay BIN) and $10 to ship.

It was only listed for a few hours before I grabbed it at about 3am one morning.

Here's the pic on my table of the lot - even came with the cashbox

What about the cat? Is she waiting to take a run through your nicely sorted piles?

LOL - not her but this one will be :)

BTW, these 2 have only known each other for 2 weeks. My 15 year old Siamese died early last month and I got a new kitten to keep Caddy company. She loves this little guy like a son. Funny too, I thought I was bringing home another female but found out 2 days later at the vet that that wasn't the case :)

Total photo bomb! The album cover as sure seen better days. I have the same one and even being careful; it is slowly breaking at the hinge point. Nice bonus on the cash box. Sweet little pile to go through! I love getting these.
Enjoy!
Definitely looking forward to what little treasures lay in the packets.

Very nice score! Let us know what you find. Watch that little baby though, he looks quite the mischievous one

I love these finds! A few months ago I picked up a "safe deposit box" size album for $25. The item was not clearly pictured or written up, and I guess I was taking a big chance. Well, it arrived and I ended up with over 1000 stamps. About 500 of them were needed for my collection, about 300 were post 1960 (my date parameter), and about 200 were duplicates.

It was a lot of fun going through them, and well worth the money.

Kiloware theoretically just wouldn't work for me, the way I collect, but it is fun sifting through all of it.

I like the cats. But I agree with Jenny, the little one looks like it may be a bad influence on the other one. Watch them stamps carefully!

btw...Sorry to hear about your Siamese.
