This came back to me a few days ago. Someone crossed out United Kingdom in crayon and rewrote it off to the right, then two different yellow "unable to forward" and "return to sender" labels are applied! The addressee is correct and I have resent the letter in a new envelope. To add injury to insult, the nice booklet pane is pen-canceled. This doesn't happen often, but when it does.... ARGH. |

Very disappointing. I think you should have added an airmail sticker, or perhaps have written "Air Mail" on this envelope.
I always write the amount of postage by the stamps, also. You have to assume that the people handling your mail know nothing about geography. And calculating simple figures in their heads? Forget about it! |

Good question, Stampmaster. I assume those yellow labels are specific to the USA, but maybe someone else will know for certain if they are also used in the UK. |

Bob, Well, when I use A, B, C, etc stamps on packages, I do show the math for them. However, I've used four 29c stamps on international letters a couple hundred times and this was a first.
I'm quite puzzled about what happened, why a crayon on the country name, then why the country name re-written in pen, then why the stamps were mutilated with a pen, et cetera. Looks like a comedy of errors involving at least two postal workers. |

I just received a heavy package from an Australian dealer. I think there is bout AUS$100 on this well-protected piece. |

My 2018 Scott US Specialized came in yesterday.
I checked the preface for changes and all but one catalogue number assignment was some error (tagging missing, etc). I have not had a chance to spot check prices. |
