@stallzer - that are some gorgeous stamps! A joy to see the stamps that crystal clear and with such a detailed scan - it kind of changes one perspective and reveals the craftsmanship involved by the engravers. Thanks for showing them Now, I only wish I had a scanner like yours... |

Quote: Now, I only wish I had a scanner like yours The Epson V37 is a reliable, affordable, small flatbed scanner, sells for about $50 and is very portable. They are 17" long, 11" wide, and 1.75 high. Fit in briefcase. Scans to 4800DPI. |

Thanks for the scanner tips. I should have added that I do have a ok scanner back home, but not when I am at work offshore. The best this thing can do is 300 dpi... |

Robert,
I did not read it in detail but yes it may be tied to approvals. But, I am on their mailing list and previously returned approvals so maybe their software would remember if I ordered it. |

I received an order of 50 vario sheets and also received a new 2017-18 Mystic Stamp Catalogue. These can be handy at times since most stamps have images.
Mystic did inform me that the 2017 supplement will be available in January and the Hingeless version will be in March. You can order the Hingeless supplement without mounts if you call.
I may try something new this year and try to scan all the Mystic pages on thicker paper since I end up redoing multiple pages anyway.

J coney: that is a neat looking White House TLS. I am uncertain whether this is genuinely signed or an auto pen signature but it is very cool regardless. It is way too early to know about his auto pen patterns and whether this is a signature in ink or sharpie unfortunately does not differentiate this either. I have actually not seen another example of a WH letter from his administration until yours. |
