I was supposed to get a Scotts Catalog in the mail, but they sent a novel instead. someone else will get my catalog & be just as disappointed.

New (springback) Stamp Albums from Stanley Gibbons online.
The choice of album first made in October 1970 is a big decision. I chose the colour Black. I thought it looked more "classy". In 2018, the choice is between Green or Red.
My choice is Green.
So overall I have 10 Black and 14 Green (all for a one-country collection)
I have two additional albums. I don't think USA pre-cancels were ever on my radar but coming back to collecting in 2012 after a 12 year break, it is obvious from Internet that USA pre-cancels are a big thing in USA. I bought maybe 100 at a Fair on Saturday and I think the two additional albums will house them.

You should still be able to get the Gibbons Nubian springback binder in black, although the binding is nothing like as attractive as it used to be. I like these - very robust

Received from a friend in Norway, a nice surprise and colorful postage stamps ....nice cancels too

At least there was no 'Marker monkey' or cancelling machine at play. Interesting to see the clerk applied no less than 5 postmarks on the Nobel Prize souvenir sheet, obviously he/she did not recognize it has only a single stamp. (Next time I'll try to find time to go to the GPO and apply proper 'Arendal' CDS cancels myself)

You remember your 24. 11. 2016 envelope with the Sc 1310a Nobel Prize S/S with a nice Arendal CDS on the S/S and not 5 cancels from Posten Norge.....?
