Still nothing from Canada. Did they leave and go someplace else?

My 2024 Unitrade catalogue arrived today, and it didn't really take all that long. I have not ripped the shrink wrap off yet, but it looks a wee bit thinner than my 2019 version. It does seem like a bit of a waste to publish it every year. I'm sure my 2011 one has a lot of the exact same info in the front half.

This is a bucket list item for me: Scott US 114 (pair) on cover. What's the big deal, you ask? This specimen was canceled on January 31st, 1870 - exactly 100 years, to the day, before my birth! It was much harder to find than I anticipated. This one is getting framed on hung on my office wall!

Unfortunately, I don't think that there is any type of glass that you could use in your frame that would prevent sunlight fading the cover.

As for the sunlight issue - point taken! Fortunately (for this cover) I have an aversion to natural light, so I use blackout curtains in my office. This will be the first philatelic item I've hung on a wall, only because I want it to be a conversation piece.

Rileysan - if you have your document professionally framed, ask for Museum glass to be installed, it virtually eliminates all reflections and blocks up to 99% of harful UV rays.

Not worth angst about fading. Most of us sacrifice some adverse effects on condition for the pleasure of seeing the pictures on our wall. These aren't museum pieces.

A complete used, yet average, set of Kans. and Nebr. overprints. These now make my 1947 Scott International Part I regular postage issue pages complete. Wahoo! Now the hunt begins for back of book stamps that I need. It's gonna get more expensive.

Showing up in my mailbox, today, was a 2 volume Michel 2023 Germany specialized catalog (hard cover).

Also found, but not technically in my mailbox, was a glassine containing 3 semi-official stamps from the event "Flugpost am Rhein und Main" (Airmail on the Rhine and Main) in 1912. I have a couple of flown covers hiding somewhere in my collection, but had long forgotten about these stamps, which made my day!

I've been eagerly digging through boxes of stamps that were hastily stored ~ 10 years ago. Among those were items that remained unopened (and forgotten about) from around the time I took a break from stamp collecting, including these stamps. I'm looking forward to sharing more stamps as I rediscover them!

I received this very nice postcard featuring the 30 centime stamp from the 1937 set issued to benefit the Louvre Museum. I had bought a pretty nice France collection years ago, but to my dismay, the 30 centime stamp, B66, although unused, had a bad tear on one corner. I decided to replace it and although I found a few unused copies of just this stamp, I found this postcard, cancelled at the Louvre itself and thought wow, that's much nicer than just the stamp, even though, apparently it didn't actually go through the mail. Scott doesn't give the actual date of issue, it just says August 1937, so this card, postmarked August 20th, is from the month of issue

I didn't know this thread existed until posting already elsewhere on this forum, but I wanted to share the arrival of this used Scott 243 $3 Columbian that I won from Kelleher auctions. The cancel itself is pretty light and not registered mail which is nice.

Since I returned to serious collecting about 10 years ago, after a long hiatus, I've bought several single country collections. I've noticed a few instances where the previous owner assigned a stamp to an incorrect space in the album, so that where there were two stamps differing slightly, the owner had, probably unknowingly, put in two of the same stamp, one in the correct place, and the other in the place where the slightly different stamp should be. I posted a while back about a ninepence Queen Victoria stamp that I needed to buy because the previous owner had put in two of the same stamp thinking that they were two different stamps. A similar situation recently arose where I noticed in a collection of France that I had bought several years ago, that the previous owner had put in two copies of Scott 331, the 1937 stamp commemorating the 300th anniversary of Rene Descartes's Discours de la Methode. This stamp caused a controversy at the time because the title of the work had been portrayed incorrectly. The title on the original stamp (Scott 330) had "sur" instead of "de". This was later corrected with the reissued stamp having the correct title. Since my collection had two copies of 331, I needed to buy a 330, which arrived today.

I received my first 2025 Fulfillment Services stamp order. I ordered these 1/23/25 as I usually order monthly. I live in Massachusetts, so giving 3-days for the order to arrive (I use USPS, pay by check), giving a couple of days for the check to clear (at least before release of the order) it was mailed on 2/3/25 & received 2/5/25. I am usually waiting on at least 4-weeks just for the check to clear. WOW!!!! Now I'm spoiled'!! Let's see how my February order does.
