Hi Nethryk, I also have this freedom torch but have not been able to find out why the arm seems almost severed. Do you have any more info on it? K. |

Kris Rascher - In my opinion, Victor Whitely designed this stamp so as to depict a torchbearer's arm rising though clouds, which frequently wreathe Mount Kilimanjaro (see photo below). I do not believe that the artist intended to represent a severed arm in this stamp's design. - nethryk  |

Nethryk, I had not noticed that the arm looked severed until you pointed it out. I guess this is a small offset of the white printing? I have a "normal" variety. |
