Hi Nethryk, Nice to see you have one of these early stamps of Berlin - quite valuable now. There are some color variations in the set but I don't have the special catalog to look them up. My souvenir sheet is unused, unhinged. What does the Scott say about them? K.

Kris Rascher - Nice souvenir sheet! As with most German issues, Scott has much less to say about about these Berlin stamps than does Michel.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting two hands holding symbols of commerce, printed by photogravure, and issued by Mexico on October 1, 1939 as one of three stamps in a set publicizing the 1939-40 national census, Scott No. 753.

Hi Stampfan, Nice to see the red 'Hand of Ulster' (Northern Ireland). A few years ago the British post put out a commemorative sheet of regional definitives and postmarks for Wales, Scotland and Ulster. Ulster also has the flax flower and the country gate. The six-pointed star represents the 6 counties of Northern Ireland. 100+ years ago local stamps were printed for Belfast.
