Hello everyone,

I'm new here ! Hello to everybody.

I have a question hope you guys can help,
Lately I found in my old garage a box with a lot of stamps, some of them are from the 40's and 50's and they are from allmover the world.

My questions is:

I do I knowmif it worth any money and if yes how and to whom I sell them to.

Thank you very much in advance

There aren't many stamps from that time period (30s/40s/50) that are worth much...usually just a few cents each. Get a catalog from any of the large dealers and start looking. The catalog will tell you how much that particular dealer wants for each of those stamps. If you have a large number of stamps, it would be a waste of your time and ours for you to try to post pictures of each of them, so a catalog might be your best bet.

You don't say, so I assume that you have loose stamps, not stamps mounted in an album. The best way to sell them might be to offer them in whole to a collector, here or elsewhere. Highly valued stamps are highly valued because they are rare, and you are not likely to find a rare stamp in this type collection. It's possible, but not very likely.

As you can clearly see (above), our forum does not support the aleph-bet.

You can learn a lot more about those Mongolian space stamps at:

http://rammb.cira.colostate.edu/dev...r/index.html

They don't do valuations (which are likely to be modest at best) but the learning is free ;)

Cheers,

O.k thank you,
When I see a stamp worth 6$ then how do I sell it or this is only an advice for a starting bid for an auction ?

Common stamps such as yours might fetch 10%-20% of catalog value ($.60 - $1.20 in your case IF you can find a buyer) so it's not really worthwhile to list them individually. You might want to put together say $50 catalog value with a start bid of $4.99.

Univibes, Greetings:

For the foreign stamps (those not issued by Reshut HaDoar), you might do better on yad shnia.

L'hit,
