Well, there's nothing wrong with it, but it has several naughty bits that shouldn't be there.

are those perfs lined up ok, they look mismatched to me like the block is 6 singles glued together especially the top two in the middle the perfs are off. there are tiny gaps look like razor cuts or lines through some perfs.

It looks like the block has previous perf seperations
and is being held together by heavy hinging.
Not fake.

LarryBruce, you ought to scan the back and post it. Maybe we can tell what is going on!

A reinforced block of six. I suppose it might be worth $12-$15 to someone.

I agree with Kevin504, it appears to have had perforation separations, which are now re-inforced by hinges. Not fake, just repaired.

i see, well thanks for looking guess I will keep it and not send it back then. I figure it is worth more then $15.00 tho it is unused and has some original gum on back, I guess you could say heavy hinged lol but with a mint at $300.00 I figure there is more wiggle room upwards then $15.00 since unused are $16.50 each catalog. The two in the middle could go as new/unused original glue lightly hinged singles. I think 12-15 is the lowest end of the scale for stamps not torn or ragged, don't mind me I am just trying to think well of this block.

I don't know where that $300 comes from. The total catalog for the block is about $96. The stamps are badly centered and 4 have a heavy hinge and 2 a light hinge. $15 seems about right to me, assuming anyone really wants it.

I do find it interesting that the train aligns one way on the left 3 stamps, but is slightly shifted on the right 3 stamps. Maybe that is normal for this series?

Revcollector is pretty much spot-on. This block has a lot of perf separations and the centering is VG/F. The hinged reinforements are a big turn-off. I would estimate fair market at 15-20% of cat. Cat would be classified as mint block of 4 and two singles ($65 + $31 = $96).

well that is the first anyone said it was a plate block of 4 not 6 so excuse me.(i do see where he broke it down to a 4 and two but still no one said it wasn't a block of 6 just value of 4 and two)

i guess the stamp police should visit ebay since there are several of these blocks of not 6s over there and I SAID in the beginning it was a fake and many said it was not so there in lays any confusion?

he asked about the 300 and I told where I got the figure from. and A BLOCK of 6 is 300 in the catalog was my point and my only point.

maybe they should be split to singles some are going from 4-5dollars on ebay, who knows assuming it sells I could wind up with enough for some penny candy.

i don't think I was really concerned with value in the beginning of this thread and if this is the end of this thread I still don't care it was a question of if the block was real or fake, a block of 6

got your opinion thanks

edit: is it my imagination or did revcollector say it was a block of 6 at the top of the thread, now I am confused rereading that. it don't really matter I am getting kinda disgusted with this block of road apples
