With the current crisis in Ukraine and the various sanctions imposed by the US and the EU, the current exchange rate is $1:34 rubles.

I'm sure you make a killing from stamp sellers in Russia right now.

I guess if you were that way inclined, any covers from Iraq or Syria right now would have significant historical value. I wonder, will IS (formerly known as ISIS) be issuing stamps? Now those would be really interesting in the future...

ISIS stamps would be a collectors item. I don't expect them to be around much longer, since pretty much every group and government in the area hates them.

If the ISIS is anything like the Taliban in Afghanistan, they won't issue any stamps, but I wouldn't be surprised if bogus issues popped up on the market.

I also doubt ISIS will issue any stamps, mostly because I don't think they'll be delivering any mail.
