The ie toga, commonly referred to in English as a "Samoan fine mat," is a special finely woven ceremonial mat that is an important item of cultural value in Samoa. Here is an image of a woman holding a fine mat, printed by lithography (Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co., Ltd.), and issued by Samoa on July 2, 1962 as one of a set of ten stamps commemorating independence, Scott No. 223, plus a photo of several fine mats.
