I soaked this stamp off this paper (in the left of the picture) so I figured I would be able to catalogue it, since it came from a book. But I can't find it. And I just noticed that the value on the left side of the stamp is upside down! It is in rough shape, but does anyone have an idea what this is?

It looks like a cut-out from a German post card.

See this example:

This can occur when you copy one value, flip it over and paste it on the other side giving the impression of an invert.

I would recommend starting a new thread rather and asking about it since the title and original post is related to a different subject. I'm sure there are many here who are interested in seeing this!

Yes, 22 crows is right, it came from a postcard and I can see now that the upside down value is because a piece broke off the stamp and someone glued it in upside down! Now that 10p Elizabeth is interesting and probably does deserve its own thread. Thanks.

Apologies for mentioning that I believed both the half groschen and the GB 10d had been altered by graphical manipulation... I can confirm one has anyway.
