I keep my collection in single-sided Hagner mounts, but I am coming to a bit of a "space crisis" with my albums. I am thinking about moving to the two-sided mounts, but my local stamp-dealer has advised me against this because (as he claims) the stamps will leave an impression on each other. I can't see how this will happen, personally.

Does the community have any advice for me? What do you use? Single-sided or double-sided?

Hi Tim H,

I use double sided pages for my extras, new acquisitions, and page make-ups pending and have not experienced any problems. The binders should be stored upright though, not laid flat and piled up on top of one another.

I'm not familiar with the Hagner system but the Vario system I like the dual sided sheets. I don't know if they're similar though?

Yes Jeff, they're fairly similar. I use 2 sided just based on real estate alone. The real estate being not only for stamp storage but also shelf space for binders.

Thanks all

They are indeed big enough to be real estate. Thanks for clarifying that the albums should be stored vertically - mine are. I can see a winter project coming on here.
