I pulled this reference from the online Postage Meter Stamp Catalog, as I'm pretty sure the varieties referenced below fall under R7(B) variety of the Neopost "IS" Series Digital Postage Meter (2008):

So here are three (3) varieties of these postage meters I received in the past month. Examples 1 and 2 are from the same meter and (presumably) the "FIRST-CLASS MAIL" reference missing from the first example is due to the user having the ability to skip printing that reference should they so desire.

The third variety from another Neopost meter is ever so slightly different.

Notice that in the third example:

1. The zeros in "$00" are differently shaped as compared to the first two examples.

2. The word "neopost" and the date appear slightly larger and spaced more to the left margin.

3. The distance and spacing between the words "US POSTAGE" and the IBI Code are distinctly different (both vertically and horizontally) as well as the fact that the IBI code appears somewhat smaller than shown in the first two examples.

Since each of the three Neopost meters are from the "041L" series meters, I can only assume that the third example (being of a higher serial number) must have been manufactured at a later date resulting in some ever so slight changes in the indicia that hasn't yet been recorded in the Postage Meter Stamp Catalog.

Wt1, do you have any idea what the indication "auto" means in the third example?

The abbreviation "auto" = "automated" mail. The discounted mail rate of 43.5 cents used in the example shown is identified in the red circle:

In situations like these, I record it as a variety (e.g., R7B(V) with a mention of the difference). Someday, the catalog may catch up.
