Hi Everyone

My Great-Grandfather was a postmaster from about 1910 to about 1945, in South West Africa ( Namibia), South Africa, and Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). He had a vast collection, but most of his first-day covers have vanished over the years.
I have a suitcase full of stamps, mainly from the above countries, but some from all over.
Most stamps are cancelled, but some are mint ( hinged and unhinged). A few have notes about variations, which could be interesting.
I'm in the process of scanning the collection, and trying to store them well, but some have deteriorated over the years.

There are many thousands of stamps, and this process is going to take a while!
Does anyone have any suggestions about interesting stamps I should look out for from those three countries?

Thanks a lot
Dave

Hello Dcpw, welcome to Stamp Community!

Also search for member Stamp Study's (or stamp study's) web site on a catalogue of world stamps as he is a collector of these type of stamps and may have a recomendation for you.

Please also start a topic named appropriately in the regular appropriate forums areas on SCF here about your wishes and stamps so he and others (like me!) can view your stamps and collection as you wish to share them. It is always nice to see stamps.
