As a lot of you know I had what I thought was a bad experience with buying a item on ebay..Well, let me tell you that I have bought about 10 items now and one seller named "beatonmar" sold me a nice Nova Scotia stamp..He damaged it preparing it to ship to me...He gave me my money back and also sent me a email saying he was so sorry..He went out of his way and I had bid $50.00 on a "NFLD 1d brown violet, Scott 1" which has a value of $160.00...He sent me a nice note saying he felt so bad, he said "i stopped the biding so no one else would outbid you"..He also said to not worry, he was going to send it to me FREE of charge for all the frustration I went through..That my friends is a honest seller..I applaud him.

Very nice story! I've bought from this seller before and have also had a good experience in the past.

Thanks for sharing the positive experience. I applaud this seller and try to model my online sales the same way. I have only had a few problems with items that have been shipped and more than once refunded the money without asking for the item back. It is a shame that there are so many dishonest sellers and it makes it hard for the rest of us. Also, if a problem arises E-Bay will typically rule any claims in favor of the buyer unless. I am not complaining a out that, but hopefully it encourages honest selling practices and buyer who go out of the way to satisfy their customers.

Nice story. I'll check him out.
Lucky you on the Newfie stamp...now you just need to sell ALL your other stamps and go "ALL IN" with Newfoundland only...

Congratulations, Wert!

It's very encouraging to hear that you didn't let a bumpy start keep you from enjoying more ebay activity.

Thanks DuncanDoenitz...I am finally feeling better about ebay buying because of guys like "beatonmar".

Tommy...You gave me the bug, but for some reason I have taken to Nova Scotia stamps and have bought about 8 and have 8 or 9 more on the way.

Had an issue like that a few years ago. I was selling 2 Stephen Strasburg rookie cards at the height of his hype. They sold for about $75 and as I took them out of a box to put them in toploaders, (I should have already done that), they slipped out of my hand, landed on the floor and damaged a corner on each of them. I emailed the buyer, told him what happened, refunded his money and told him I'd just send them out for free. I never heard one peep from the guy. No feedback left, no thanks, no nothing. He got 2 free cards with slight damage and couldn't be bothered to acknowledge any of it.

Mike33...You were being an honest seller, and that guy should have at least thanked you for that kind gesture...WOW.

I did email beatonmar a few times and he seemed so sincere in his words...Guys like that make the ebay experience enjoyable.
