The question is (unless I missed it)how did they know 44 stamps were missing and not 47 stamps?

A hoon is someone who does what should be a 7 hour trip in 3 hours, we even have "anti-hoon" laws Down Under

Hi KGV and all

From what I have heard "On the Grape Vine" the collection was supposed to have been sold en masse and the funds divided and each family member knew exactly what stamps where in the collection and it had also been photo copied, so it was quite easy to establish what was missing.
It goes to show that my old saying is again true. "Where there is a will, there is always a greedy relative"
