After encountering major difficulties ordering the 2015 Volume I United States Subset, I was able to place the order and examine the "product". If falls short, way short.

I attempted to search for catalog number 500. I got to a confusing window. I guess one of the choices, not the first or second, will get to the catalog number. The number one deficiency is lack of a catalog number search, followed I suppose by a design number search.

The Olive e-reader leaves a lot to be desired. The fussy vertical scroll bars on the side are hard to see but are essential to up-down page navigation since the page is slightly too tall to be read comfortably. Lacking is scrolling by using the mouse to pull the image around. See Bing or Google maps to see how scrolling should be done. I haven't tried accessing the catalog on the Windows Surface yet, but scrolling may work better on a touch screen. The mouse scroll wheel is counter intuitive with pages moving sideways without being able to examine the portions truncated above or below. Scrolling might work better by column, instead of page.

The offering seems to lack any meaningful cross referencing and I see no sign of an underlying database. Some of the journals like USPCS and future offerings like the USSS and APS journals use a much better underlying technology allowing (added) PDF links to be accessed from a SQL Server database. The navigation in Linn's Stamp News is better, but some of the quirky scrolling and fussy scroll bar are shared with the catalog product.

As Amos Media continues to fall behind the technology curve, even more catching up will be necessary.

Clark

A searchable, cross-referenceable database would be great. At this point, I'd settle for Amos just allowing one to download the catalog (sans pictures) in Excel or .CSV format.
