Is this what is considered a jump strip of 4? Note the major change in image position . Full gum on back so doesn't seem to be any other explanation.

If a jumpstrip is the same as the place where two plates meet, yes, that seems to be it! Also, maybe by coincidence, the perforator seems to have re-started at the third stamp; the first three stamps are a bit mis-perforated.

A very dramatic example of a jump strip.

I figured it had to be 2 plates to account for the amount of shift but as mentioned the perf machine must have also been in 2 seperate set ups. This was just one of a bunch of neet little bonuses in some old pages I picked up.

Great post! Not having seen a jump strip, I was unaware of them and needless to say, unaware of how a jump strip occurred.

Thank you nitrolures and all for this informative post!

Nitro - I have many and have seen many but that one is clearly exceptional and a keeper.

I honestly didn't even know what I was looking at until I looked it up in unitrade. Paste up and end tabs I have seen before but not anything like this. Not my general area so likely up for grabs.

Looks fantastic, but isn't this Scott 309 (olive green), instead of Scott 298 (sepia)? A slight change in price, but just as interesting, of course.

Partime: After looking closer in the catalog, I agree with you that it looks more like Scott 309, especially Scott/Unitrade 309ii jump strip of four.
