I looked and cannot find a discussion of these so am starting one- am curious how many of you use them. I have the Mystic album as my main US album system- in ten volumes- but recently purchased a Harris Plate Block album to use fr that aspect. It is affordable and compact. Drawbacks are that the pages don't lie flat and are an odd size for protectors. I have somewhat overcome those factors- I use self adhesive White Ace mounts which don't pop off pages and also have trimmed back some Palo protectors I had to fit these pages.

I may at some future date purchase the Liberty album for my US used collection- I think Harris has spaces for BOTH blocks and singles of the se-tenant issues- anyone know for sure?

I moved from the Harris to the Mystic album for the very same concerns you have - the pages don't lie flat, and they are custom sized. Mystic does not produce a Plate Block Album. However, you can use the Steiner pages (stampalbums.com) with Mystic blank pages to generate matching plate block pages. There are some discussions on ways to do accomplish this. If you are committed to your Harris Plate Block album, some others may have suggestions for alternate binders.

I have a parallel mint and used collection of US stamps. The mint are mounted in 7 volumes. I have generated may pages for PNC and PlateBlocks that I include in the main collection. I stopped buying new issues in 2006 when I looked how much each year set was costing. My used collection is on Steiner pages (stampalbums.com). I'm considering purchasing Volume 1 of Mystic's hingeless album to combine the early stamps I have. In retrospect, it doesn't make much sense having two volumes when I realistically will never be able to afford filling both albums.

One thing I noted upon getting the Harris album was that Whitman has not improved the product line. If anything it is worse off than before. The album I received has no fly leaves with the binder and none seem available from the publisher. The page paper is lightweight and there is no protection for it inside the binder. I will need to get some heavy paper and cut my own flyleaves. For $50+ wouldn't you think they could provide a better product?

Stamps1962. I know for a fact that the Harris Liberty Album provides for stamps in both attached block form and as separate SE tenets. If you are interested in going in this direction, I have a big box of loose Liberty pages which I could send to you for shipping cost only. It is heavy and I estimate there are at least two or three full sets. Maybe more. They are all mixed up. I inherited them along with the binders. They came from an Alzheimer's patient so that explains the chaos. I'll also let the binders go for $10 each plus shipping. I think I have nine of them. They are the "old ones", which is good. I am at *** Edited by Staff - Please Review the rules that you agreed to when you registered. *** if you are interested. As for myself, I have migrated to the Mystic Premium Heirloom albums.
