Hi all,

I hope I don't violate any rule, but I don't know where to put this question.
I have a few sheets of stamps that I consider to buy.
But I cannot find the sheets in any catalogue, and I don't have the money for a Michel catalogue.

The stamps are from Japan approx. 2001, and with all kinds of Pokémon figures.
Here one of the auctions that I consider:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pokemon-Cha...em2c8886db3b

Again, I do not want to violate any rule!
Well, I hope someone can help me.

Greetings, Rik

Hi Rik - they're not really postage stamps as such. These (and many thousands of other subjects) were issued by East Timor (Para Timor) for sale solely to collectors of these subjects and will not be listed in any catalogue, save perhaps Michel. I tried without luck to find catalog values for you, but I did find them listed for a slightly lower price on Delcampe.

Thank you very much, Jenny2U.
But I see on the stamps, as you mentioned, "Para Timor".
Where can I find that Country/State???
Is "Para Timor" near Japan?

I found out a bit more about "Para Timor" stamps:

Quote:
East Timor became an independent nation on May 20, 2002, and the first stamps were issued on that date, a set of four, commemorating independence. Pre-independence issues of East Timor (Para Timor) are therefore considered "Cinderella" issues, with no postal validity
.
Here's a map showing where East Timor is located:

Aha, thank you very much, Jenny2U.
It is clear to me now from where they are.

So this thread is solved

Hi rikdegraaff, do you know how many different pages for this collection? My grandson collects the Pokémon figures. These East Timor Cinderella stamps would make a nice present and a beautiful addition to his collection.

John

Hi John, I don't know for sure, but in my search I saw a lot of sheets.
If you would know the exact amount, I will try to find that for you!
No problem at all.

You'll hear from me,

Rik
PS. What is your native (standard) language? Mine is Dutch, but English isn't a problem for me either

Hi Rik,

Thank you for your offer. I will have to research online and see if I can find out just how many different sheets make up this series and what that cost would be. I will get back to you on that.

My native language is English. I live in New Mexico, USA.

I will be in hospital for two days so I won't be online for awhile.

Take care,

John

John, I can't find how maney sheets there are from the Pokémon Cinderella's.
But I saw some sheets with in their description "sheet no. 7".

But I cannot guarantee that there are just 7 sheets.
This information is very hard to find.

I don't know if you're still in the hospital, but if so, take care!
Greetings, Rik

Great hearing from you Rik!

Thank you, I arrived home mid day yesterday.

Needless to say, I have not yet had time to research these
Pokemon sheets, but I will.

Greetings back to you Rik!

Have a great Day/evening!

Hi Rik,

I am sorry for the late response.

Rik, I have exhausted all avenues in searching for these Timor Cinderellas!

I am waiting on a response from: http://www.philatelicdatabase.com/ as my last attempt.

However, a dealer that I have found has 2 sets of 8 different sheets and more sets of only 7 different sheets. He neither knows how many sheets make up the entire series nor knows of any source to purchase more.

Rik, I said I'm done searching, but I'll continue! Banging my head, banging my head! LOL!

John
