Just getting back into collecting and I am intrigued by the idea of using hingeless albums, which did not exist back when I first collected. I have seen the Mystic Heirloom hingeless albums and, although I think they look nice and the information contained therein is very helpful for a beginner like myself, I noticed a distinct curving of the pages which concerns me, particularly for older and/or more fragile stamps. I have also heard about brands like Davo and Schaubek, but am not familiar with them.

Would anyone have comments on which U.S. hingeless album would be the best in terms of coverage, quality of the paper, quality of the binder, style of presentation etc.? Or perhaps just their experience in general with an individual brand? Any caveats or concerns with using hingeless albums that I should be aware of?

Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

Yes, we can definitely help. There is a LONG and thorough thread here about the Mystic Hingeless. Also, I've posted several threads about my experiences with Schaubek (US & Canada). Davo is here too -- I recall some concerns about them.

Search for them using the term HINGELESS or by brand name, e.g. SCHAUBEK. Adding your questions to the specific threads will "resurrect" them to the active topics list. Then it's fun for everyone

Welcome to SCF, Oldfaithful.

I am posting a link for you to a thread reviewing hingeless albums for US stamps. It is quite extensive. Cheers!
