Why patience, they can't even keep their main product in stock, they can't sustain few $ 100k inventory , it's not going good for sure |

My understanding is that these pages are basically "print on demand" but Subway not being a print shop needs to have a third-party printer do the printing when there is an order for the pages. It's not an issue that they can't keep them in stock (they never actually stock them in the first place). |

I was expecting 2 things from them
1- Can you ship it USPS ? 2- Is this in stock, if not when it will be available ?
I never get a answer to 1 and take 3 days to have one for 2 The main reason I cancel my order is because they can't tell me before they have stock if they can ship it with USPS instead of UPS, they don't know at that time ( 4 week ) witch one will be cheaper, I don't ask for cheaper and ready to pay more with USPS, I simply don't want to see UPS, they charge the taxes like Canada Post but will add a $ 300-400 broker charge on a $ 1000 order . So a good reply will have been, Yes sir we take note and we will quote you for USPS once ready to ship. It's not question to be patient, but if it take 6 weeks instead of 2 , well I will find other things to do in the waiting time. If it's print on demand they should clearly indicate it, You put available on request on the website They have 2 exclusive products, 6 set of pages with International perforations and 6 set of pages with Spec. perforations, don't tell me it's too much to keep on hand a set of each, we are talking of less than $ 2000 at retail price. Bottom end, I will not purchase from them. So they lost money Palo print me 2 albums on demand and was shipped in less than 48 hours and communication was always good. |

Look here what customers expect in 2016, I ordered a RC engines tonight, they show how many in stock and give me choice. Also if I call them, they will not told me the orders are not yet download and can take another day to do so, they have access to the orders and can change what ever we want, and best of all give me an estimate on BO Contrary to Subway, they have first class business website and great customers service, |

Ok, I never said that Subway was a first-class business. I do agree that Palo is much more efficient to deal with than Subway...
...however, Subway is the only place you can get the Brown reproductions so if one wants those pages, you will have to deal with Subway.
I was not in any great hurry for the pages, so I placed the order with Subway and got the pages in two or three weeks.
To each his own... |

I do have the original Brown Albums as reference if need it. thepapermillstore.com can cut the paper the size I want and drill the holes too. |

I agree with Chris. They are not such a bad business, why don't you give them another chance? |

I bought the complete set on ebay and they had never been used. I am using mounts but doing so, I have found is hazardous to my sanity Mine are in 25 Vario G binders and use them for pre 1940 stamps, extras go into Minkus Supremes, and then Scott Internationals. |

My Minkus are in 12 large Minkus Supreme 2 post binders (8 flat and 4 rounded) up to 1981(and I have 3 more years of pages to put away yet, and the Scotts are in 39 Scott International 2 post binders up to 1990( 3 and 4 inch).
All are interleaved.
They do take up a lot of space and the Minkus ones are quite heavy when full.
Lots of exercise hauling them around. |

Vario G binders have tall rectangular rings (not round rings) which are straight on both sides. Google "Vario G binder images" to see them. Each side is fairly tall to allow storage of many pages. That's part of their appeal. I think they're designed to store pages like vinyl Vario pages. For use with stamp album pages, though, lifting each paper page all the way up one half of the "ring," over the top, and down the other side is not easy. The other Vario binder that's about the same size, the Vario Grande, has "D" rings which are much easier to use for stamp album pages. |

Again, there's no such thing as a "Vario Grande". Vario isn't a generic name for Lighthouse stock-books and pages, it's just one of the many formats that Lighthouse offers. Grande is another, and accommodates larger leaves. Others include Optima and Folio. |

Is the Grande also a 3-ring binder or does it have 4 rings? Also is it "grande" because its designed to hold larger sized pages or because it holds more pages? I do find the large U-shaped rings of the Vario-G a bit difficult for page turning as well. |

I also find the Vario G U-rings to be an annoyance. Other than that, I really like the binder/slip case. From what I have seen, the Grande line smaller binders are available in 3 ring but the larger binders (similar capacity and look as the Vario G) are 4 ring. |

Chris - three-ring binders aren't used in Europe, but there may be one for the US market. It's simply called Grande because that's the name of that range: it's bigger than some, smaller than others. Folio is bigger, Kanzlei is bigger still. "Gigant" (what you call "G" means a binder within each range that is bigger than the standard binder. |
