I am not sure what is this... is that a pale rose? Why this stamp is so paled, and postmark is still pretty dark and readable?

Or this is a half piastre green??

Many Cyprus issues (and others of the period) were printed with so-called fugitive inks, which dissolve when soaked off the cover. The cancellation, of course, wasn't in a fugitive ink. Someone soaked this off the cover, losing most of the stamp ink in the process.
