Apparently CBS Sunday is preparing a story on stamp collecting to be shown in the near future; today they did filming and interviews at the Youth Stamp Club I volunteer at.

They did not interview me on camera, although we had a long discussion about several aspects of philately off camera. I was wearing a black shirt and was the only male adult involved with the kids. Some of the kids were interviewed; they might use some of that footage. However this is a larger story and we will only be a small part of it. I know that they are interviewing Bill Gross soon for example.

Heck, I'd much rather see you than Bill Gross

That's kind of you to say, but he is thought of as somewhat more important since he has rather a bit more money than I have.
I'm happier digging through piles of stamps with the kids than giving interviews anyway.

It's really nice of CBS Sunday to do this. I can't help but to think that one of their motives may be in thinking that they can actually get kid's thumbs and minds off of those electronic mind stealing gadgets?

I've heard the name Bill Gross, but can't remember in what context. Talking about all that money, are you sure that his last
isn't Gates?

Bill Gross, the financial manager who co-founded PIMCO (Pacific Investment Management). Net worth: $2.3 BILLION! His stamp collecting interests are cited here:

And, of course, with him being a primary benefactor of the National Postal Museum, his name (and some of his collection) is now featured in the William H. Gross Stamp Gallery:

Very nice from you that you volunteer at the Youth Stamp Club. I guess it's very rewarding for you. I quit going to my stamp club because there was not much to find for me there as only about 5 or 6 were attending and they talk a lot and sometime not even about stamps. But being with kids full of curiosity and eager to learn about the hobby that I would like very much. Enjoy the Youth Stamp Club! Daniel

Thank you wt1 for coming to my rescue.

I clicked on both links you posted, along with links within those links, providing excellent read which were greatly appreciated and most informative.

Mr.Bill Gross is now and forever will be stored in my mind as a great Business man, Philatelist and Philanthropist.

Thank you again wt1.
