Hello,

I have this collection but I'm new to this "world".
Can anyone please tell me how much is the collection worth?
Also, if any of this stamps is rare or more valuable?
It would be a tremendous help if anyone could give me some tips about this.
Here is the link to the photos: http://s32.photobucket.com/user/zet...o/slideshow/

Thank you :)

I'm sorry, but it looks kind of like a beginners collection. A quick browse revealed nothing but very common stamps. So nothing in monetary value, but perhaps the beginning of a new hobby for you?

These are very common stamps, largely from the 1950s, at least as far as I could see in a very quick glance-through. They are "worth" one cent each, but only if (and it's a big "if") you can find someone willing to buy them.

The only potential buyer would be someone who might pay 5 or 10 Euros for them in order to look through them in the unlikely hope that he might find a stamp or two that was worth a Euro or two or more. It takes time and knowledge to look through them that way and the likelihood of discovering something worth more than one cent is low. Most dealers or amateurs won't even be willing to pay 5 or 10 Euros for the chance to do that hard work.

Therefore, your best approach would be, as Tinus has suggested, to get involved in the hobbey and learn how to spot anything unusual yourself. General introductions to stamp collecting are readily available. Explore the threads on this and other online forums. Check to see if there's a stamp club within reach--to find someone who can give you individual instruction. And then have fun. And if you find something unusual and valuable, it's yours.

But the likelihood of such a discovery is very low and that should not be your main motivation, lest you end up disappointed.
