I didn't want anyone to think that I had sold all of my stamp find and moved to a tropical hideaway! Though I have been traveling quite a bit (also currently planning a month to Scotland), I will be elbow deep in foreign stamp books for the next 3 months at least! I had hidden myself for about 5 months but I am back. I have found and catalouged 15365 stamps (as of this afternoon) with an net worth value at a little over 120K. Needless to say I have been a very very busy lady. I wanted to let everyone know that I have not sold any of the find, and do not plan too right now, and I am still finding more and more every day. Today included. Right now I am looking at a postcard from the first trans continential flight of the Graf Zeppelin in 1928. Postcard marked oct 31 1928 syracuse NY. It has C11 air mail attached. It is signed by the vice president of benedict mfg. co. east syracuse. While it may not be an astronomical price find it is a deeply interesting historical find for me personally. I have found myself looking deeper into the historical stories behind the stamp rather than just the stamp. I have also come across the entire united nations Freedom from Hunger collection starting in 1954 and also a HUGE binder filled with ALOT of foreign stamps. Looks like I am back to the white gloves, microlight and scanning =) Thank you everyone for all the help! I greatly appreciate it all! I will try to scan and post some of the more exciting finds that I have come across in the last few months. And anymore I may find in the future.
