I recently acquired 40 post cards from the first decade of the 1900s. About half are postally used and the rest are in mint condition. I know nothing about post cards and have done searches on ebay and Delcampe and found nothing remotely like these. From past experience, I know that this means either they are as common as dirt or uncommon. Any help would be most appreciated.

They are mostly from Austria-Hungary and Germany with a few Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg also thrown in.

I'd be glad to help with the Germans. The bigger the scan, the better.

I can't make the scans bigger since they will hit the limit that SCF has on uploads. I'm basically interested in knowing the value of the cards.

Glenn, Greetings:

Scan whole cards at 200 dpi.

Scan details (postmark & stamp) at 600 dpi.

Use the Free SCF Image Optimizer to get the file size under 100k, with [Sharpen] set at 40.

See examples of readily achievable results at:

Cheers,
