The Alliance OH precancel on Scott #513 is fairly common. Almost everybody who collects that stuff has one. You could sell a few singles for 2 or 3 $ but it would take ages to sell 10 of them. Certainly keep the plate blocks intact, You may not get any more per stamp but at least 6 of them will be gone! As mentioned above the gum is immaterial to precancel value. Best would be to find a buyer for the sheet. If it were mine and I really wanted to move it, I would put it on ebay with a 200$ start and maybe a miraculous bidding war will ensue.

Thanks for the great input. This is the first pre canceled sheet that I have picked up. I'm learning a lot. This is my second month of restarting my collection. Having more fun than I expected.

Waynesknow.....the last comment was directed to chasa.
If you were to list @ ebay....I would start@99c.
There are plenty buyers at ebay....not much gets by unnoticed.
Again....my opinion.

The terms "mint" and "precancel" are an oxymoron. When the pane of stamps is shown precanceled, they are no longer "mint".

The proper term, in my opinion, would be precanceled with original gum (o.g.).

(The listing should also clearly reference the fact that the perforations are split apart in some areas.)

I did list it on ebay item#281480788102
If there is no interest maybe I should just break it down to blocks. It is very hard to handle the sheet with the separations in it. I did my best to try to get some of the separations in the photos.

Wayneskow.....I have viewed it.
Also ....the gum looks to be in horrible condition.
That is a major factor in early sheets

I think the photos make the gum look a lot darker and worse than it is. Hay thanks for looking at it. I received the sheet in a lot I bought. Most all of the lot was in much better shape but I think that was the oldest sheet in the lot.
