Thanks for these links ikeyPikey

I have been to Hamilton a number of times and have seen some of the sites that were shown.

In fact, the best man at our wedding was a member of the Hamilton - Wentworth Police Force (Service), now retired. He still has a cottage 7 miles West of where I presently live.

One could make a life-long study by collecting the postcards of Hamilton alone. I have a number of Hamilton cards, but, nothing fantastic - a few good ones though..

Q/ Is Hamilton one of those cities that was vastly more important 100 years ago than it is today?

Hamilton is known as the "Steel City of Canada. It also had a significant part in the War of 1812.

I like the city, but, can't hack their beer which is "Steeler's Beer". To be honest though, that was some years ago and I don't know if the beer has improved?

One could do a life study collecting Hamilton postcards and postal history.
