It appeared to be Egypt but I have been unable to locate this one. Any ideas of what this one is?

I like that stamp!

It's Ottoman Empire/Turkey, not Egypt. Don't have a catalog handy now.

What we now know as Turkey was the Ottoman Empire for over 600 years, from 1299 until 1922.

The sicle and the star identufies Turkey or areas usually.

Beautiful stamp, kind of Moroccan design for the archways, and reversed too, up and down.

It's actually a crescent moon and star, symbol of a number of Islamic states.
