I asked my partner to buy for me today an Original six Souvenir Sheets. They are 6 stamps hockey card. It would have been my third try to get one of the signed stamps.

His parents are irish. He went with his mom to my local pharmacy.

I just opened the pack. I'm in shock. I got a stamp signed by Bobby Orr. Great for my collection.

A real gentleman if there ever was one.

We have a tunnel in Boston called the Ted Williams Tunnel. I remember Ted. And Bill Russell. And Bobby Orr. It should be renamed to the Williams-Russell-Orr Tunnel.

Tom Brady will be added later.

There's an apparent difference between silvian.m's "signed" stamp and the non-signed stamp that I have.

silvain.m's has a 3d design on it, but none of the non-signed ones in my set of six different players has it.

The design has purple, white, green black and blue elements in it.

Does this mean that a variety exists?

Does anyone else have a "signed" stamp to confirm that a 3D circular design has been added above the $2.50 value printing and that the non-signed do not have it?

I tried to upload the normal stamp, but the system kept timing out as there appears to be a problem with my ISP (internet service provider) today.

It appears to be a holographic sticker applied by Canada Post to "certify" the autograph is genuine.

Here is one (also Bobby Orr) offered on ebay for $199. http://www.ebay.com/itm/381026315835

I bought two packs but did not get an autograph. And I am half Irish

Yes the difference is a 3D sticker on the stamp. It is a Canada Post proof of authenticity. The rest of the stamp is identical to a non signed one.

In that case. it isn't a variety (thank goodness, or else I'd be out buying up more packs at $15.00 each).

There are 125,000 packs of 6 of which 1 in 50 packs had a single signed stamp, so there are 2,500 signed stamps.

As only four of the six players are alive (based on Tim Horton' s death on February 21, 1974 and Doug Harvey's two sons attending the unveiling and Doug was not there), that means each of the four signed 625 stamps. If Doug is alive and signed, there are 500 signed stamps of each player.

Were these physically signed? Or is it a computed printed signature?

If it is the later, then there are possibly signatures on the Tim Horton and Doug Harvey stamps.

According to the October 27 Linn's, Orr signed 1000, while Kelly, Howell, and Pilote each signed 500.
