I recently came across this website depicting the various stamps and souvenir sheets issued for The Salvation Army:

http://www.briefmarken.aaj.de/

Although this website is based in Germany, it provides a detailed description of most every Salvation Army stamp issued, including catalog numbers for Michel, SG, Scott, Yvert, etc.

In fact, if you advance down to the individual country listings there is a link to "philatelic material" with images of most of the first day covers and related philatelic products that were offered at the time each stamp was issued.

This is one of the few topical resources I have come across that offers all of this information in one place.

Hi,
thanks for mentioning my homepage here...
I have some more material that is not yet scanned and online.
When you write: "most every Salvation Army stamp issued" - do you know about Salvation Army stamps that are missing?
Help is welcome.
Best regards, Achim

I didn't really check the website for completeness. I do know that there is an upcoming stamp set to be issued in Guernsey entitled "Stories from the Great War" that features Ada Le Poidevin (middle stamp, second row at the link below):

Women also risked their lives in the war zones. The Salvation Army set up respite huts for soldiers, staffed by Salvation Army officers and small groups of 'sisters'. One of these was Ada Le Poidevin (74p) who answered a call in the War Cry.

Some related history of Ada Le Poidevin is documented here:
