One of the four stamps shows mining of bauxite in Moengo.
Moengo is a town in the Marowijne district in the northeastern corner of the country. It is a major center for the mining and storage of bauxite. The Moengo Airstrip is one of the oldest airport in Suriname.

Something a little different. Here's a cancelled check from the Empire mine, part of the Comstock lode, with both US R6c and Nevada 2c state revenue, tied with the Empire Mine cancel.
