Ray, I know it's been echoed plenty but I do think China is going to have quite a big impact on things, at least in drawing attention to the American market. Outside of that, I can only wonder.
I attended my first show last week, TEXPEX. While by no means represented in proportion to the population as a whole, women made their influence. One of the panel of judges was female. And a couple of the exhibit awards went to women exhibitors.
The "Women Exhibitors" group has been really working hard to make sure women are more visible in the exhibits arena.
A related message - a group of us lady collectors has recently started a small chatroom just for women only just to give us a chance to get to know each other better. A quick scan of the interests of the women there doesn't really confirm an interest in topicals - most tend towards country specific collecting.
Any ladies interested in joining us, please send me a message. Sorry fellas - ladies room is for ladies only!
