I'd like to see Lew Dewitt of Statler Brothers fame on a US stamp. Best country tenor of all time. When Australia Post first offered personalised stamps a few years back, I was tempted to use his image on a stamp. Technically illegal, but I was tempted. Here's cheers to Flowers On The Wall.

I'm on the side of don't put living people on stamps or name buildings after them.

Just in the past week, Temple University is backpedaling on a Bill Cosby Building.

Sorry to resurrect an old post but had the urge to respond to Kirks' post.

It's already too late anyhow. Cosby already has his own stamp. Maybe it's not his picture but we all know who this stamp refers to.

HP Lovecraft. He could be part of a set honoring classic horror writers.

It also occurs to me we've never issued a set depicting the First Ladies. What about featuring them on a sheet or better yet on a series of booklets?
