I sold some record albums to a local store. An older hobby puttin' some change in my pocket to help found a newer hobby. Upcoming local estate auction. Thinking I might take a shot at these two items. I assume the stamp on the folded letter is a #24.

What will probably happen , as usual, is I'll end up grabbing a couple of larger lots full of glassines, stock books, pages etc.
Unless there is a zeppelin flight cover.! Then the gloves come off.

Haa that's awesome. Are you looking at the covers? Some pretty neat civil war stuff. I'm not much of a competitor when it comes to the single stamps. And the better albums are usually to expensive for me. I have more fun buying the lots from the tables around the other side. Even then, spending 30-50 bucks is my norm.

It was two sales ago, they had some really nice covers (I thought) but I didn't even make an effort at those. My budget doesn't normally allow that kind of bidding. Same sale on the last table is where I thought the best items were. There were some albums loaded with what I thought were really nice world wide stuff. Some very nice Swiss and many more! One of the young buyers, I see him every time I'm there, scooped up a few of those albums quick. Cost him a bunch of money, but I thought it was well played

Now I'm wondering if it was you lol.

I'll be alone, black jacket and blue jeans. Six feet tall. Deputy Sheriff haircut, whitish on the sides and back. Names Steve. If your so inclined, introduce yourself. It would be a real pleasure for me. If not. I understand.
P.S. Yes I'm going to bid on the Bermuda cover
That is actually what prompted me to sell some records. Right before Christmas I have trouble justifying spending on myself. But, now I have some play money. It would be nice if there's no interest in that cover. I hate the "choice" system of bidding.

Charlie, I stopped there this evening to preview some. Seemed like more lots then I've seen there before. Too much to look through. Not sure how they can sell all that in an hour and fifteen minutes. Should be fun.
