I really like my flat bed scanner. It can be set to DPI and the surface size of the image itself.

Still trying to get an issue when using the ebay cropping tool that a white out happens instead of a cropping process but we will get there.

SO I have been showing a person the ways of listing on ebay from selection of product and image prep, to listing for viewing by buyer on ebay etc.

Their scanner is a 3 in 1 type of printer/scanner but when you scan it auto sets the image surface size and DPI. I cannot find a way to set size or DPI of the image.

Do many people use this type of scanner?

I have a printer/scanner somewhat like you describe, and while it will "auto" determine the size, the DPI can be changed by the user. This is done through a user interface and buttons on the printer device. It will take more specific knowledge of the printer/scanner you are using to know whether these settings might be similarly configurable. On mine, DPI can be changed to 75, 150, 300 and 600. If the size comes out a bit off, I just crop it in an image tool.

I use a 3 in 1 HP and I use their software and I can set any option I choose, DPI, file format, scan image size only, etc.

Same with me: 3 in 1 HP and fully adjustable parameters. I am considering changing to a single scanner, though, if I can improve image processing speed and quality.

Very interesting! It is nice to be up to oil!

I think I will let this one go as it is their scanning tool to get use too and not mine!

It is a very new 3 in 1 type scanner. There does not seem to be any slower or faster than my 6 year old flat bed scanner.

But the flat bed sit nicely on my table next my computer and the positioning is very user friendly.

Thanks For The Replies. KGV

If you want an easy program for editing photos, there's a free one called IrfanView that can be downloaded.

It's the quickest one I've ever used for cropping photos.
