Hi Mav, This is from the Southern District of the German States.It appears to be Scott 49 of 1859. The earlier listing is for black and rose.
This is also some other information on these stamps;

Reprints of Nos. 42-50, 53-56 were made in 1910. Each has "ND" in script on the back. Value, each $6.

Hope this helps. Respectfully, Gary

I think Gary meant to say Southern District of Thurn and Taxis, which is one of the "German States" listed in the catalogues.

Freimark simply means "free(ing) stamp," i.e., the stamp constitutes pre-paid postage, frees the letter from any postage due; same as franco bollo on Italian stamps etc.
