Wow. All of these rare stamps in one place and with pictures of all of the fronts and backs too. Is there any possibility of Canada Scott # 23 existing on laid paper as well since Scott # 22, # 24 and # 25 exist as Scott # 31, # 32 and # 33? The reason why I ask this is because there are several Large Queen specialist experts on here and new discoveries usually come from looking for possibilities outside of what is already known in the catalogues. This is where I would be looking for the next new major discovery of these large Queen laid paper varieties. |

Thanks for the pictures. Maybe they should be sent to the publisher of the Unitrade Catalog. Its time they showed what Canada's rarest stamps look like. I'll try to get pix for the forun of my two 33s. |

If we didn't know better, because of the cancel, the shot of #32 might be misidentified as: 32 I Handle-bar moustache |

Quote: 32 I Handle-bar moustache Good observation XNBer. You know it kind of reminds me of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Then again why not, he was her grandson. Those royals all look alike anyway. |

Robin Harris has considered putting images in the Unitrade Catalogue but hasn't done it yet. |

Watermark : what I'm going to ask you is probasbly in the mind of all the members on SCF, but... ; Can you tell us, after you had found the #32, the story of what was the next step : what did you do after, who did you contact, how the "contact" proceeded with the stamp, how much was it sold, how much did the "contact" kept, how much did you get in return??! Yes, it is personal! But we are all interested in the stamps world, we are all delighted when something "unexpected" happen, new finding, expertise exchange... and a case like yours totally unusal. Even if I don't have the right vocabulary, I believe you understand what I mean and, of course, only if you want to share this unique experience |
