Hi, After searching I found my old thread where I put some new scans of year wise issues. Did I do right or should I have created new thread for scan listing.
thanks

I keep a spreadsheet with the name & link to topics to which I might have something to contribute some day soon, so that I can easily add to existing threads.
That having been said, I create new topics for things that just don't fit well, elsewhere.
Citizenship, and good forum hygiene, require that we make an effort to add to existing threads (when appropriate).
There is a trade-off between short-term visibility (creating a new thread gives your post more visibility) and long-term value (adding to an existing thread means that some person, some day, is going to find a richer vein to mine).
Good luck always finding the right balance.
Cheers,

I think it's better to ad to an old thread than it is to start a new one. Keeps the same topics grouped together. |

Since we're talking about good forum behavior (sort of)I have a question. A few days ago someone mentioned that using a dealer's name is frowned upon, is this true? |

tikithindi, Greetings:
I just cut'n'paste forum names & links.
Why? The SCF search engine gives me fits.
One problem is speed: searching my spreadsheet is faster, unless I remember to also specify a short timeframe.
Another problem is placement: my link can be to the last post I read, allowing me to always pick up exactly where I left off.
Yet another problem is that not everyone spells well; 'souvineer' comes to mind ... how to re-find that thread?
So I cut, and I paste, and I keep my own list.
Works for me; probably not for everybody.
Cheers,
