Hello,
I have doubts on this one.
This is an earlier imperforate (Scott#17) but it is the same design.

On your example the lettering of the ONE SHILLING is raggedy & the font seems different especially the N & G

The top streamer on the mast does not seem long enough.
I cannot see the sails but there should be 10, forgeries usually have 7
There should be vertical lines on the chest - hard to determine.
Watermark I believe is a crown with a cross & 2 C's below it
The overall appearance should be more defined.

If it isn't the catalogue # I think it is, do you have any idea what stamp this could be??

I would say that it is a bad litho forgery of the Scott 54d by an unknown.
Oneglia made forgeries of this series but they are reasonable.
If the paper feels thick that is the mark of the litho forgeries

This #57 is pretty beat up but still has decent detail & even text.

Thanks again nl1947.

The good news is that I didn't pay a fortune for it. It was in a collection of British colonies I purchased some years ago at a fraction of the catalogue value.
